Santa Monica pairs strict building and environmental requirements with a housing stock of 1920s-1940s homes and 1960s-1970s apartments, many still on 100A service that cannot support an EV charger plus modern appliances. Coastal properties add a material constraint most inland jobs never face: salt air corrodes standard enclosures and terminations, so we specify marine-grade and stainless hardware on exterior work from the Pier to the north-side bluffs.
